Review Policy
Most of my reviews will be positive, usually more than 3 stars. Don't get me wrong- I have definitely read books that I have not liked so much before, but to be honest, I don't pick a book up unless I think I will enjoy it. I am also able to see the bright sides of every books and will always mention good things about the book even if I am giving it a low rating. I will rarely rate a book 1 or 0 stars, and even then I will find something positive to say about the book. I hate to slam authors because I know they worked hard on the book, as all authors do. Also, I believe that hating every book you read defeats the whole purpose of loving to read. So therefore, I will mostly be featuring positive reviews on my blog! :)
I am a 13 year old girl. I post reviews according to what I think, not what others have told me. If I think the main male character is "hot" or "sexy", then I will say that. I believe in sounding proper and composed in my reviews, but that doesn't stop me from being honest. I always talk about the characters in my reviews, and if you ever read a review where it sounds like I am fangirling, then you can expect that from me because I am a teenage girl with teenage thoughts. My opinions aren't going to change, and I'm not going to stop talking this way for a long time. Possibly ever.
I post my reviews here on my blog, and on Goodreads. On the About Me page you can find the link to my profile where you can follow my reviews. I always post my reviews in both places, so it doesn't matter which one you read; they are both the same. On Goodreads I always include a link to my blog in the review.
What genre of books do you review?
I will review anything from chick-lit to classics. Most of my reviews will be young adult, however I might feature an occasional adult book. Young adult interests me a little more, of course, since I'm just a thirteen year old!
Award Policy
I am not accepting blogging awards at this time, sorry!
Rating System
I rate on a scale of one to five, one being the worst and five being the best. In general, here is the guide to my rating.
1 star- I might not have finished this book, but if I did, I did not like it at all. I probably avoided reading it and was not enjoying myself when I was reading it.
2 stars- This book probably disappointed me a lot and was not exactly my cup of tea, but it also wasn't too bad and I could see the good sides of it.
3 stars- It was mostly average but had good and bad parts. I liked this book and might recommend it depending on who the person was.
4 stars- What an awesome book, I thought it was really good. I will recommend this book.
5 stars- I loved it!! I thought it was amazing
If I post a review of a book, it will include from here on out:
- Title of book
- Author of book
- Number of pages
- Release Date
- Publishing Company
- Synopsis (copied & pasted from Goodreads)
- Review (my honest, full opinion of the book)
- My rating (out of 5)
Favorite genres:
As I've said above, I love everything in the Young Adult genre. Within that genre, though, there are lots of other genres. I like fantasy, romance, paranormal, historical, and feminist books.
Thank you for stopping by!
I would love a book review from you! My name is Robyn Hill, and I am an author on Amazon Kindle with a 5 star review status. My number one book is a pre-teen read, beginning with grade 4, but even adults love it. It is a magical bubblegum adventure through several fun, delicious and hilarious mishaps. I have included the smashwords link where I offer it free of charge.
